"The hotel was recommended to me by a couple I met travelling and they weren't wrong, Everything was so great about the hotel that I extended my stay by 2 days, The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and different every morning, The manager even gave me a ride to the bus stop to catch the bus for san salvador, It was great value for money, I will definitely stay there again,"

"Charlie welcomed me very friendly and introduced me to the house and facilities. Everything was very clean and welcoming. Communication was absolute great and there was no issues at all. Although I accidentally chose the wrong room when I booked, she allowed me to change it (I wanted a female room) without hesitation. Thanks Charlie for your great hospitality, I will definitely recommend 77 Tourist House!"

Walls and doors paper thin, no chair and desk in room, no comfortable chair.

"The atmosphere is very welcoming, homely, laidback. The staff are both locals and volunteers and this mix creates a great atmosphere. The friday braais are great for meeting people and can be a good pre-drinks for going out. Next to that it isn't a massive party hostel, which is a good thing to me. It's social, and many drinks are done in the evening in the common area, but when you go to sleep it has mostly quieted down. People that want to party further go out to the city at that point. There aren't that many other activities, but people organize it through the hostel whatsapp. Sometimes they do a volley session on the beach or volunteers might initiate something like Laura starting her Thursdays morning workout! Also, they are very relaxed in letting us borrow some coolers from the kitchen to go to the beach or a weekend festival even."

I would love it if the volley would become a weekly scheduled thing too. That on Wednesday / Tuesday and the braai on Fridays would be the perfect amount of planned activities combined with spontaneous stuff that's planned through whatsapp.

"A short stroll from the main drag and market, but without the noise.A fully equipped kitchen, a shady garden, plenty of toilets and showers hot aswell, in the dormitory section,all kept clean throughout day, for breakfast i recommend you go to Kumba Lodge, turn left and walk along the beach for 15 minutes, youll see it up on the ridge, dont forget to take sandals as the sand maybe too hot to walk on coming back.Nice secluded back garden.You can walk to Barra, by turning left, walk atound the headland, places yo eat and drink there, anout 8kms one way, take plenty of water."

"Хостел розташований дуже близько до автобусної станції і відповідно до порома. До історичного центру міста можна дійти пішки. У кімнаті є кондиціонер, що було дуже доречним у спекотний день. Рекомендую замовляти сніданок у хостелі – він дуже непоганий за свою вартість."

"Невеликий хостел в приватному будинку у спальному районі Привітні господарі, за свої гроші - хороший варіант. Спав в юрті, трохи жарко було, але на вулиці тоді було +40. Є басейн, місце для роботи. Інтернет ловить ідеально. Чудовий хостел за свої гроші."

Працівники на рецепції дуже приязні і допомагали з усім, що було необхідно. Є окремі сховища для зберігання речей з кодовим замком. Також я залишала речі на 1-му поверсі після виселення, бо рейс був вночі. По ціні за цілий день у мене вийшло всього 10 євро. Мені все дуже сподобалося, незважаючи на 10-місний номер, я почувала себе комфортно і безпечно."

"Absolutely loved my stay here! The ambiance is so serene! It's nice and quiet at night so you'll sleep peacefully. Location is great as it's located in the community area and not in the national park yet it's close to everything you will want to visit during your stay. I also love that they're so organised with tours they provided good information and hade competitive rates if not the best rates in the area. The service was on point from the moment I arrived until checkout. The food so delicious! I stayed in a cottage with a balcony, the view was super, I highly recommend those rooms. Thank you so much for having! I'll definitely be back"

"Had a comfortable stay here for 1 night layover, Dany was a great host. I enjoyed visiting the night market nearby where you get to see a slice of local life. The dorm room is quite basic but great for the price, and bathroom facilities were clean."

"приємний персонал, наявність камери зберігання, є можливість лишити речі до заселення або після, що неймовірно зручно! номер невеликий, дуже простий, але є шафи для речей, стіл, стільці- тобто необхідний мінімум. вбиральня і душ були чистими, вони є окремими для чоловіків і жінок в різних частинах по коридору. нам не доводилось чекати, хоча є тільки 2кабінки і трохи більше душових. кухня була чистою, є великий загальний холодильник з можливістю зберігати продукти в окремих боксах. дуже класне розташування, в 5хв від порту, поруч є супермаркет, в 2хв зупинка трамвая, приємний район."

на кухні бракувало приборів і посуду, хотілось би щоб були ще якісь миски, а не тільки пласкі тарілки. ножі, чайні ложки не було знайдено😅 тобто одна столова ложка і столовий ніж точно не достатньо для загальної кухні

"Атмосферний хостел, дуже-дуже простий, але зі своїм шармом. Припаркований дебаркадер поруч з багатьма такими ж готельчиками на воді. Влітку, мабуть, дуже добре пити каву чи пиво на терасі"

Білизна на ліжках і рушники давно вже потребують їх замінити. За невеличку собаку стягнули 10 євро. Авто можна припаркувати лише за 650 м від хостела, бо навколо пішохідна зона і під'їхати до готелю, щоб залишити валізу, неможливо

Location a bit far out of town

"Fantastic location. I had a private room and bathroom. Fantastic. Quiet, helpful staff and a great location. Loved it. Super close to walking up the hill for a great view over the city and close to all key sites in the old city. Inexpensive and good value. I didn't eat breakfast there as there is a wonderful garden cafe 1 min walk in the same street which is lovely for good coffee and food."

Hot water was a little temperamental and loo leaked.

There was no one there when I arrived and no one replied on WhatsApp. I stayed in the living room from 7am to 11am waiting for something to happen when I actually had messaged the owner days before to say I would arrive early and if I could do early check in. Fortunately the lady working there appeared and allowed me to take a bed before check in time around midday! Very kind !

"Сучасний великий хостел. Все справне і якісне. В ціну включений сніданок по типу шведський стіл. Їди вдосталь, можна і просто хлопя з йогуртом поїсти, а можна добре так наробити собі канапок з ковбасою і сиром))"

Розетки не зовсім біля ліжок, ціна хоть і мінімальна по мірках країни, але загалом це не дешево. Треба самому застеляти ліжко і розтеляти
