"Great location, staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. Cooking class was enjoyable could have been more extensive and involved."

Little bit of confusion over what meals were included in the rate however staff were really nice and we were able to resolve easily.

"This place is incredible. We had elephants around the lodge every day and the safaris were outstanding. We managed to see 4 of the Big Five in just two nights, plus wild dogs, cheetahs, and much more. Absolutely recommended!"

"Amazing remote location but still easily accessible! Like a barefoot oasis where everything felt very personal and intimate. The rooms are stunning, facing the river. At night it felt like being one with nature. Will highly recommend to all my friends and family!"

We honestly cannot understand some of the negative comments regarding the food, as our experience was excellent in every aspect. "The Mankwe tented retreat is a little gem of a place, strategically located between Moremi and Khwai, with a good access to Mababe area and thus offering a wide variety of habitats with very good biodiversity. The tents are comfortable and the setting is very secluded and peaceful ... we were the only people staying at it at the time! ;) The team are very friendly and the game drives in particular very good - Op deserves high praise!"

Food options could be a bit more varied, but the cook is rather responsive. The pool seemed in need of a refresh.

"the slecuded. quiet peaceful grounds, the air circulation of sleeping in the tent, air flow thru mesh mosquito mesh, out side enclosed bathroom facilities,the yoga barn and good selection of books to to read in comfy arm chairs very nice plunger coffee with plunger ,over all a very pleasant 5 nights spent at this echo retreat"

maybe fresh seasonal fruit platter for breakfast as some photos show on their website, but, the muesli and little fruit, apple juice and coconut milk was very adequate

"Michel is a great host. He shares a lot about the area and the wildlife. Cabins are cosy and clean. You will eat among other travelers around a nice fire pit. Overall a great experience for all visitors."
