"It was really good value for money in the area, the breakfast was nice and filling, egg made fresh, avocado, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. The room was really nice we thought it might be cold but the blankets kept us perfect temperature. Only a 4 minute drive from the bus terminal. The man on reception kindly flagged a tuktuk down for us in the morning to the terminal."

"Excellent quiet location for visiting Constantia and the Hout Bay area. Beautiful view towards the sea. Well equipped and very spacious."

We stayed in the main house which has huge windows overlooking the pool so not at all private. There were often workers milling around in front in the morning. Lack of a private outdoor dining area. Shame there's no balcony on the bedroom side overlooking the sea.

Room didn’t look exactly how it does in the pictures, but was still nice. There were a lot of mosquitoes around though and I did get bitten in the night a lot due to no mosquito net, so make sure you wear repellent. Location is on the opposite side of bikini beach and next to the prison, but as the island is so small it’s still only a 15 minute walk away from the restaurants and main beach, however something to consider.

It's hard to escape noise in this part of the world. There was some very loud music playing at local bars at night. We had to kill a lot of mosquitos

"We absolute loved our stay at Les Hibiscus. Our room was beautiful and furnished with love. On top of that Solange was always there to help and share information. The breakfast was just delicious, you can tell that Solange loves cooking."

"Awesome hosts Vladimir and Alexander....they picked us from the airport...I forgot my universal adapter, they provided their own...home-cooked breakfast by the hosts....awesome...will stay there again, if I am at Almaty again..."

Access was an initial challenge as this was not automated so you cannot let yourself in and had to wait until someone respond to the telephone! A ringing doorbell at the gate or at the front door would be helpful!

"This is a family recreational resort with some dorms. Mine was inside the main building near the inside pool and table tennis area. The showers and two toilets are those used by the pool guests. I was fortunate to have only one female dorm mate. There are lockers outside in the hallway and you are given a room key. The manager kindly lent me sheets. I liked the location in the woods not far from the pedestrian street."

The kitchen could use some new utensils. There were no cups or glasses, just some plastic cups.

"Wonderful to be the only guests staying in the hotel, it felt special to have a chef come in to make our meals, which were very good. We had our dog with us sge was showing in a competition on site, she was welcomed and as we were the only guests she sat in the dining room with us. She was very relaxed and the next day came 1st in her Breed. We will return for another event soon."

Perhaps the bedroom could have been warmer.

"It is a botanical garden with horses.Everything is beautifully maintained.Breakfast was plentiful and you can stroll around the property for hours."

Власники приємні і доброзичливі, ми приїхали о першій ночі- нас чекали і швидко заселили. Сніданки смачні і різноманітні. Кінцева шатла flybus знаходиться в 1,1км від помешкання- зручно і приїжджати і відʼїжджати в аеропорт"

Душова кабіна могла би бути новішою, алп це зовсім не критично

"The staff were professional but friendly and very accomodating. The breakfast was quite sufficient and delicious as were all meals. We enjoyed the feel of a small boutique hotel."

The safe did not function and no screens on the windows.

It's not a complaint as it didn't cause a problem, but the only thing to mention was that the reception wasn't open before 10am, so we had to let the cleaning staff know we were checking out and give our keys to them as the reception was closed.

Location is bit far away from the city if you have a car then no problem , there is free parking and the great thing is you would have lovely city view. "Located in a quiet, idyllic location near the town center, it felt like a little retreat every time we returned home. It’s a spacious house which keeps cool due to the tiling and multiple doors you can open. We didn’t need air con in September. We could close the gates so the dogs couldn’t get in, this allowed the kids to play outside. The three year old was so excited to have swings. After time in the outer islands we really needed to freshen up, so the showers and washing machine were helpful. There was good amounts of drying space, the kitchen was fully functional, and we were given our space to enjoy our holiday."

Tonga is super basic so expectations of any accomodation need to keep this in mind.

"The decor and peace and quiet - despite being in middle of town. The individually decorated room was compact but had everything a weary traveler needs.. The food and drinks in the cafe were delicious and freshly made. The hotel owner was charming. I felt very comfortable there."

The only drawback is that one cannot park directly in front of the hotel which is also an advantage as one is not disturbed by traffic noise .

"If you're looking for a quiet place, Villa Serenity by the Water is where you need to go... and yet, it's just a throw of stone away from shops and busy places... as for the breakfast, I must say I've enjoyed the sweetest omelette ever, accompanied with a selection of fruits/yoghurt/toasts... exactly what I needed to start my next journey on the right foot !!!... apart from that, rooms are large, very well quiped and nicely decorated... making your stay real enjoyable !"

I found it a little difficult to adjust temperature in the shower as it is a sophisticated model with thermostat... but had I stayed longer, I would have asked for advice and I'm sure I would have mastered the issue !
