"I really enjoyed my stay at Happiness Dot and would stay again. The location is good about less than 10 minutes walk from the Tamsui MRT station. There are a lot of places to eat on the doorstep and Tamsui Old street is less than 5 minutes walk away. My room was large with a large bathroom and shower area. There were USB charging sockets beside the bed. The homestay landlady and her assistant were wonderful - very friendly and helpful and they spoke good English. They carried my luggage up the steep stairs and did laundry for me without being asked for free. Even though there were only the two of them and the homestay was busy at times, they always took the time to answer my questions and were always smiling. The owner has organised her homestay very well and really knows how to look after her guests."

"The homestay is on the 2nd floor of a building and the stairs up to the rooms are steep. I'm ashamed to say that I would have had trouble carrying my luggage up the stairs - but these wonderful ladies brought my luggage up to the room for me! The building is hidden away down a small side-street, but I found it without a problem using a map app and the directions included with the booking. Booking.com should put the English translation on the web site "Happiness Dot" - it only has the Chinese name."

"The hotel is just across the street from Tamsui MRT station. You can walk to Tamsui old street within 5 mins from the hotel. Ther are many local snack shops, convenience stores, super stores and even fresh market in that neighbourhood. But it's not noisy at all. Though, there is no elevator, the owners and the house maid are nice and eager to help. I'm pleased with my room size 😉. It's not too big nor too small. And the toilet is good. The bed and pillows are so comfy. There are water dispenser and small fridge at the hallway. You can use them any time."

"Well located and not noisy despite being very central. 5 min walk from the pier and old street. Car park nearby in shopping mall. Friendly manager and easy check in guidance. Accommodating to add additional mattresses for our kids. I would recommend!"
