"This is my fourth visit . It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. I found the food at the all inclusive restaurants. The staff were very helpful. The gardens looked beautiful . I found a sun bed at the beach each day with no problem. The WiFi worked well around the resort."

Our room was cold, Maintenance came to sort it out but he didn't really know much about the thermostat, said he sorted it and it won't take long to heat uo, but never did, wasn't ideal with a little baby, said baby was asleep by time we realised it wasn't heating up. A small blemish on what was otherwise a really nice stay.

Das Zimmer ließ sich trotz der Verdunkelungsmöglichkeiten nur bedingt abdunkeln, da durch die Milchglastür früh Tageslicht hereinkam. Bei der Ankunft war es zudem recht staubig, was etwas den ersten Eindruck trübte. Außerdem war der Kaffeeweißer aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel hart geworden.

"Great snorkelling around the over water bungalows, lots of turtles feeding on the seagrass. Beautiful location, so relaxing. Beach access bungalows are very nice, newly renovated, comfy bed. Pool was awesome. Appreciated the sea bird conservation in the island. I actually loved the sounds of the Puffin de Pacifique birds at night - I thought it was a child crying at first lol… bungalows have earplugs, luckily! Complimentary buffet breakfast was good. Got a generous late check out, service was really good from the boat to the front desk to the restaurant and bar. Everyone speaks a very high level of English, not sure where the negative comments about staff come from - they were the best I experienced in NC by far."

It’s an expensive buffet dinner (around $80aud) but the choices were really good, esp the fresh seafood and all the desserts. It’s just not worth it if you don’t eat huge dinners. Order à la carte options instead, but nice to try the buffet just once. Consider BYO noodles and alcohol if you want to save money, buying food and drinks from the restaurant and bar adds up quick. Would have been good to be able to lock/unlock the back beach access door from outside with a key.

"The villa had great privacy, beautiful landscaping, a good layout for our group. It was well-equipped with essentials for cooking/serving. The salt pool was perfect for cooling off after a hike. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice."

THE ROAD- while we expected a rough access road from reading previous reviews, the construction during our stay detoured us through the banana plantation over an intolerably (for anyone with neck/back problems) rough track that was 4x longer. While the ocean (not a swimming beach) is close enough to hear, there is not much view. It is a peek from one corner of the pool deck, and the upper bedroom. But again, wonderful privacy. Also of note- there are no bug screens on the windows. It was perhaps an assumption on our part with the newer construction, but the mosquitoes did cause some distress, especially for one member of our group. Bring bug spray, After-Bite (anti-itch), and Benadryl if you are prone to reactions.

"Чудовий готель на березі океану на пляжі Бентота. Готель чистий, гарний, прекрасна доглянута територія, приємний персонал. На території багато тваринок і птахів. Лежаки на газоні під пальмою це щось чудове.. Пляж заслуговує особливу увагу, оскільки там можна і поплавати і пострибати на хвилях. Чого не скажеш за сусідній пляж."

"Great location, just ~100 meters away from the beach. Very nice and helpful people, booked a lovely islands tour in a very good price for us and offered to help us with a number of things. Fascilitated our return to Krabi. There are 4 adorable cats in the property too. The room was a standard Thailand room for that price range, nothing to complain about."

Le prix reste un peu cher pour le Myanmar dans le contexte politique actuel même si il se comprend. Le confort du lit, matelas, était mauvais. Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.

"We liked the location with very close proximity to the beach, pools and restaurants.Staff were overall very friendly and welcoming.The range of restaurants was great and the food superb. We ate at them all (Sensai, Blue Moon, Il Mascherati di Venizia, Route 66, Margarita and El Carey/ La Tortuga ) with the only exception being Villa Marina, which proved problematic to book a table. The beach was clean and well maintained with plenty of sun loungers available.Our room was a good size and cleaned by the staff daily with lovely little touches like fresh flowers and abundant clean towels and shampoo/conditioner."

On arrival it would have been helpful to have had it explained that all information regarding booking restaurants, knowing the daily entertainment schedule and viewing menus etc was on the hotel app. It was three days before we realised this! We didn't like the branded drinks being charged as extras. If you like certain brands of drink you will be charged for them. Local equivalent drinks are only covered in the standard all inclusive package. Three of the restaurants have a pre-booking policy. It states on the app that these can be booked from 07-30 each day. We found that if you left it until 07-30 most of the tables had been booked. Therefore the earlier you get up to book a table, the better your chances of securing a place in the restaurant of your choice. Frustratingly, we were not able to book a table at Villa Marina during our two week stay. Every time we tried it was fully booked:this was incredibly disappointing!!!! Finally, a WARNING to other visitors. One day when we were on our way to lunch, we were duped with an offer of a free massage if we were prepared to give up twenty minutes of our time to hear about the membership deals on offer by the hotel group. Two hours later, after a non stop, in your face , hard sell by the sales team we couldn't take any more and walked out. Thankfully, we were mature and strong willed enough to resist the sales team. Many others probably capitulate and sign for a deal they may reflect later they do not want. Investing between 10,000 and 20,000 dollars is no joke, especially when they don't want to give you time to reflect on the deal and decide in a calm and balanced way. The whole process spoiled the last few days of our holiday and we hope others see this comment and are forewarned and refuse to be tricked into accepting offers of "free" massages or goody bags.

"The rooms were very clean and the property overall was well maintained. Our rooms were seaside and the sunrise and sunset was quite a spectacular experience!"

"Красива, зелена, чиста територія. Всім є місце. Багато розваг. Різноманітне харчування і все дуже смачне. Дітям і дорослим є чим займатися у будь-який час."

Заявлений вид на море не відповідав дійсності, бо балкон виходив на дах ресторану. А номер з видом на море коштує дорожче. Номер погодилися замінити. Проте багато номерів мають боковий вид на море. Це варто зазначати. Ми в готелі в третій раз, та це ніяк не відзначають. Було б приємно чути: ради вас знову бачити. Цього разу в ванній кімнаті був неприємний запах зі сточних труб. А після дощу кавролін номеру повністю став мокрим.

It was not easy to get service on the tables near the beach. The sun beds did not have cushions so were uncomfortable to lay on.

Nothing it a Perfect Place

Заселення о 17:00, а виселення о 10:00 - як на мене це зарано. Сніданок до 10 і якщо ви приходите після 9:00 то на сніданку дуже малий вибір. Яйця смажать прямо в ресторані, але витяжка не працює, жахливо сидіти і їсти, коли навколо смердить димом.

Too big. Very noisy at breakfast. Only Asian breakfast options. Expensive restaurants. Don’t go to Thai restaurant in hotel. Really bad taste and nothing to do with Thai style

Staff were polite and amazing, great buffet breakfast, there is mini zoo which had wildlife such as monkeys, crocodile, tortoise, parrot, ostriches, peacocks etc. The rooms and facilities was great and it was a great stay. They provided free shuttle to the airport which is a bonus."

The pool could do with a bit of cleaning.

A little tired in places - could do with a bit of a spruce up such as a lick of paint on all the walls, new carpets in the common areas (stairs) etc. Seemed to be a lot of staff but not a lot of guests (although the staff were lovely).

The sea has moved in so much over the years that there really is no place to sunbathe on the beach by the hotel. You can walk further down the beach - given space limited sun beds on the decking area.

In general, I really did like the property. It is perhaps not as fresh as it could be however that is part of its attraction.

"The location is right in the heart of Georgetown, within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. The accommodation is beautifully designed,easily the best I’ve seen in Penang. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of."

If I were to nitpick, the dinner menu could be a bit more interesting. Other than that, everything was great.
