Located in the heart of Funchal, the recently-renovated 4-star Hotel Windsor offers modern rooms. On the roof top there is a bar, a solarium and an outdoor pool overlooking the city centre. Windsor Hotel’s rooms are decorated in neutral colours and feature wooden furniture. Each one has a cable TV, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box. The hotel’s restaurant serves Madeirian dishes, while the rooftop bar offers refreshing drinks by the pool. There are also many bars and restaurants in the area around the hotel. Funchal's cathedral, traditional market and Oldt Town are are all within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Santa Clara Monastery and Monte Palace tropical garden are only 200 metres away, as is the Atlantic Ocean. Madeira Airport is 20 km away, and the hotel offers private parking on site.

"It was very centrally located, a short walk to the cathedral, cable car and boat trips. The breakfast was exceptionally good, with local foods- homemade bread and local items plus a cooked breakfast, cereals, fruits of all kinds and Scandinavian style cheese and cold meat."
"The only slight issue was that yhe room was a bit old fashioned. I'd have liked tea and coffee making facilities and it was 1 euro per day to use the safe deposit in your room. Shower was old fashioned but plenty of hot water."
