"Very unique place with super-nice hosts Katherine and Michel ! The apartment was spacious, with private entrance and dedicated patio and parking space. Large saloon with well equipped kitchen and separate bedroom. Comfortable for longer stay. One must only remember to bring own groceries, there are no shops or markets nearby. Altos del Maria is a special place, an enclave in the mountains with guarded entrances. Special microclimate, with comfortable 28-29 degrees when on the coast in the same time was 35. The flora in this valley was surprisingly unique, different than in any other place we’ve been in Panama. Very helpful and nice hosts, before arrival explained how to get through the Altos gates and find this place in the middle of the valley. We also had some quality time together with our hosts, drinking coconut water from their own palm..."

"Lovely little unit with everything you need for a nice stay. It was great have a little kitchen and being able to make our own breakfast in the morning. There's a beautiful garden with lots of humming birds, so we really enjoyed sitting on our terrace and enjoying our breakfast and surroundings. Our kettle was broken, but they where very quick to arrange a replacement. The location was also very convenient as it's away from the main road, so nice and quiet, but within walking distance to all the local shops and restaurants."

"Our stay at Black Lion Inn was pleasant, it was a convenient place to stop on our way to David, Tita was very personable and accommodating with our very limited Spanish on arrival. Warm shower, cold aircon, comfortable bed and convenience stores and a bakery close by."

"This is one of Panama's hidden paradises! Shortly after we booked this place we got in touch with the owners who gave us a lot of useful information. We were very well welcomed and the apartment met our expectations. Katherine and Michell are wonderful people, very welcoming and nice. They invited us out on a trip along the river to see the nature and the small waterfalls. Their big 4x4 car took us on roads we didn't think were possible for cars to drive. We saw tamarins, many birds and squirrels from our terrace. The garden on the site is very well maintained and a pleasure to see!"

"This was our intro to all inclusive accommodation. We fear the bar has been set too high- the staff were amazing from start to finish remembering each guests name and the little things such as milk preference with coffee or general orders. The room was simply stunning with adequate space for chilling out before booking some fun packed excursions with the great captains in this accommodation. A different menu each night at the main restaurant had us counting our time down until dinner as each one somehow managed to out perform the last. 10/10 will be back and already looking into other Nayara locations!"
