"Great host, and the place was lovely. Had what we needed and was in a quiet location, loved it."
"Did find it a little noisy with the walking around from upstairs but wasn't a big deal, still had a great stay."
"The property has a large clean kitchen with amenities. The bedrooms offered bedside lamps which are nice at night. The living area is spacious and comfortable, it was in a great location & within walking distance to my friends & beach. Outside patio area at front is nice & also has a cute back courtyard."
"Lack of storage in smaller room. Only small set of drawers which are broken. Bathroom could do with small cabinet just to put bathroom items. Shower curtains are always awful that one is the same. Glass door would modernize the space & feels cleaner. Some hooks on the back of doors to hang jackets, bags etc. Another small bin in toilet & and upgrade of the very old dated toilet brush. The TV glitches there are no locks on any of the doors including toilet. An overall update of the dated decor would really lift the apartments vibe & modernize how it feels."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
