Housed in a former water tower, a 15-minute walk from Dordrecht’s historic centre, Villa Augustus features spacious grounds including decorative gardens and an organic kitchen garden. "The room exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was immense and crowded, as it was Valentine's Day. The hotel is amazing with it's beautiful gardens at the rear of the building and the fruit and vegetable gardens that are nestled between the hotel and the restaurant."

"We absolutely loved the hotel itself! It’s a very special place, with amazing modern art decorations and design twists. It was like staying at a modern art museum. They have a huge garden where they cultivate a lot of things which can then be found in their restaurant or for sale in their indoor market shop. People were very nice and the view from our floating bedroom was also nice :) We very much appreciated the fact that the windows all had mosquito nets. We also loved the proximity with Dordrecht! We could go meet up in the center of town in no time and come back late without problem :)"
"The ventilation in the floating room was a bit challenging. For the price, we expected to have AC or at least an ok ventilation, but it wasn’t the case, and the day was very hot. We managed to air out by keeping the front door open for a bit, and the windows open at night. I mean it’s basically like being on a boat so it’s ok, but we just found it challenging to create a good airflow in the room. Also, finding the parking was a bit tricky at first."

"Family room (just the 2 of us) with huge double bed has its own decking area for relaxing in the sunshine (not in main building) with lovely view of the beautifully maintained vegetable garden. Restaurant 1 minute walk with good menu. Really quiet at night as 20 minute walk from centre of town. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful."
