"Incredibly stay! The photos don’t show how beautiful the grounds are. Super recommend the tents and wandering down to the beach clubs in the area for beers and a swim. All of the staff were amazing at helping us organise everything and the food was delicious - special shout out to Brigitte for making our stay extra special, even letting us come into the kitchen so we could learn how to make African tea - we miss you Brigitte!!!"

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.

We loved everything, it is rustic in a lovely way, fits with the environment you are in. Great value for the location.

"Great location at the South side of Song Kul lake. Breakfast was tasty and plenty. You can also get (packed) lunches and dinner. Phone reception is good and you can charge your phone in the evening in the main yurt. Stayed for two nights there. So peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!"

Water pressure was low at certain times - pipe being repaired, so perhaps temporary. You'll need a car to get around (we got a taxi for 10.000 - 15.000 CFA each way to Ndangane.)

It is 30 minutes on a very bumpy road from the gate to the national park and we were the only people to pass through each day. This end of the park is forest and scrub so very difficult to see game. There are not many roads in the park and almost no signage.

"Honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. Great location- 10 minutes away from The 7 Rila lakes, food was amazing, the itslef place was soo cozy and welcoming. Host was also amazing, very friendly, talked to us, gave us advice about our upcoming trip to the lakes, very sweet. 10/10 if youre looking for a relaxing place with a spirit!"

"Great and unusual stay! Because is non tourist season, most of places near were closed, but owner kindly suggested to us where we can enjoy food - place Ataman, with kind woman i house athmosfer. Super clean place, amazing view, birds, and parking - everything for the trip on wild nature. They also have very cute cat if you love animals 😊 Forest near, lake, we really enjoyed walking around."

"Beautiful views of Apia. We literally had the whole place to ourselves. It provided a calm quiet space that we didn't expect."

Unfortunately there were a few minor issues when we arrived, that eventually got sorted. Given the circumstances of the week prior & sending our condolences to the family, I'm not surprised things were a little off the mark. A broom in the unit be great to keep the floors free of bugs & dirt. We still loved our stay regardless.

La maison est super mignon , très bien placé ( au calme ) et bien décorée. Moi je suis hollandaise donc je n’avais pas de problème avec l’escalier hyper pentu et les marches très étroite !"

"Located exactly on the mountain, with exceptional views. Facilities were clean, comfortable and well heated. Staff were very helpful to transfer us to the hotel when we arrived, as the car park was a bit far from the hotel. They also treated us exceptionally well, and were always ready to accommodate us with our needs. Food and drinks were also really good. All in all 10/10 stay"

Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island.

"It was quirky and a lovely cosy space to base ourselves. Very close to the airport and next to the harbour in the town. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The loft bed was something different too and cosy and comfortable. The owner was great and friendly. We had absolutely no issues and hope to go again someday."

"We spent a few days in spacious bungalows. We were picked up by taxi from the airport and quickly arrived at our accommodation, where Cynthia was waiting for us. Cynthia provided us with detailed information about the property (water, safety, etc.) and shared interesting facts about the area (shops, restaurants, and the beach). The bungalows have a well-equipped kitchenette and a large terrace, from which we could admire the starry sky in the evenings. In the morning, we were served a delicious breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jam. The morning conversations with Cynthia during breakfast were wonderful. The guesthouse also offered free rental of easy-to-use bicycles. We have fond memories of our lazy days on the atoll, and we highly recommend this guesthouse."

The guesthouse is no longer the newest, but that's why it has its own atmosphere.

"Very comfortable room, although close to main road no significant road noise. Lovely setting at edge of town with immediate access for cycle or walking in fields behind. Staff very helpful and food good value for hotel facilities. Ample breakfast included too. They offer excursions but we did not try due to lack of time. Hotel arranged transfer to airport which was perfect."

"This experience was amazing being in nature while having a luxurious living space is a rare combination moreover we got to enjoy this wonderfull experience without any bugs this is one off the many positive sides of this compound I really recommend it especially for large groups and kids as the environment is kids friendly with emotional support animals like golden retrievers"

Apart from the very cosy and interesting architecture , I appreciated the quality of the small things in the room , like sheets , furniture , and bathroom finishes, things that make your stay very pleasant.
