River Nest Hostel

"Це зовсім новий хостел з новими меблями та іншим. На рецепції працюютт дуже дружні та милі дівчата. В гуртожитку на 16 ліжок був лише я і ще 1 хлопець. Є басейн, більярд, барна стійка, гарний вид на річку, гамаки. Безкоштовне поповнення питної води. Можливість орендувати скутер за 7$ на добу. Прокат каяків. До центру міста 25-30 хвилин пішки."

"Кілька моментів можна покращити. В душових ще не повісили гачки - то ж немає де повісити рушник. Також в душових немає шампуню і рідкого мила (хоча воно є в загальному коридорчику). В решті, хостел супер."

"The hostel is an incredible place. I stayed there for 4 days and ended up coming back again because I loved it so much. The shared dorm has beautiful, spacious, and clean showers, and the beds are just as great, they are very large, and the curtains give you a lot of privacy. The hostel also has a swimming pool and plenty of common areas where you can relax. The staff are very friendly and help you with anything you need. Overall, the hostel is very affordable for the quality of the facilities. I would totally recommend it, the best hostel I have ever stayed in."

"A regular cappuccino is a bit expensive ($2.5), and the AC in the dorm at night is too strong, in my opinion."

"Lovely pool, great location just outside of town, brilliant friendly staff, Bom, Pitra, Dolla, Gina & Parry, sorry if I misspelt those, we’re all very welcoming and kind, made our stay fantastic. We were truly sad to leave."

"Location is a bit far away from town. More importantly there was a party on Saturday night and some Cambodians were staying in the dorm and making A LOT of noise throughout the night. Kept telling them to shut up. The staff should enforce the quiet hours rule."

"I have never felt so taken care of by a hostel! I had fallen ill, and the owners and staff recognised this and did so much to help me, from helping me move to a private room and extending my stay, to cooking me specific dishes to help with my recovery. The owner even offered to take me out for a trip on his boat, which offered the most beautiful trip down the river. I can’t thank the team enough!"

"Great facilities. Large, clean swimming pool surrounded by verdant tropical plants. Several decks on the river with chairs & bean bags for chilling out. Standard private room was minimalist, comfortable, & very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. The owner, Bun, is there every day and it shows. Remarkably efficient & well organized compared to other hotels in this price range. Often Bun will take guests for a ride down the river on his boat. I liked it enough to extend my reservation twice."

"Location is a few minutes out from the center of town. About 7 minute ride in a tuk tuk, costing US$1.50 on Grab. Getting a ride with Grab was never a problem. But, be aware, it's basically too far to walk into town. Probably a 45 minute walk I would guess."

"I stayed in a uniquely converted boat, (there is only 1) which was a surprise to me on arrival because this wasn't obvious on the website through which I had booked. To say the accommodation was right on the water was an understatement! Lol I loved it, despite a bit of a slope you are aware of inside because of the way the boat is positioned on the bank. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great, with the ability to adjust the temperature. There were shady spots to sit, with a lovely pool and a entertainment area, and a relaxed vibe generally. Food was delicious, and was able to be eaten whilst watching the boats on the river. You can walk into town, about 30 minutes, or choose to go by tuk tuk. The staff were friendly."

"For me personally, I found it amazing how many people were smoking and this spoiled the experience, especially when eating. Smoking is banned in Australia around cafe's and restaurants and I have become used to fresh air when dining....perhaps it was a reminder to book a hotel rather than a hostel."
