With a quiet location in Cortona's pedestrian area, Locanda Petrella is a 5-minute walk from Cortona Cathedral. It is set on the second floor of a historic building dating back to the 1800s. Air-conditioned rooms have original features such as exposed stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings, some with a fireplace. They all include a fridge and private bathroom. Wi-Fi is free. A continental breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:30 in the breakfast room. Guests also have a comfortable lounge. The Petrella Locanda is a short walk from Cortona's many monuments, churches and museums. Camucia Cortona Train Station is 3 km away for trains to Florence and Rome.

"Amazing location, right in the heart of Cortona, within one minute of the main street. Locanda Petrella felt utterly charming and authentically of the town. We had an extremely comfortable room and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. We would definitely rebook and recommend. If you're driving, you'll need to park outside the town walls and walk in but if you take the advice given, it's pretty handy. The host doesn't speak English but we managed with our rudimentary Italian. She was really friendly and very helpful. Be prepared to pay the local tax when you check out. We paid €4. I'm not sure if it is based on a per person or per room basis."
