This boutique hotel is peacefully situated in the South Iceland, in the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, a 1-hour drive from Skaftafell and Reynisfjara Black Beach, and 15-minutes drive from Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon and Laki Craters. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, private bathrooms with premium bathroom amenities, Nespresso coffee-machines. Renovated in 2023, the hotel features modern room décor, quality restaurant and a cocktail bar. Hotel Klaustur’s in-house restaurant offers modern cuisine with 80% of locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is open for breakfast buffet, lunch and a dinner menu. In the evening, guests can relax and have a drink in the hotel´s cocktail bar. "We booked this hotel last minute due to a storm and were pleasantly surprised. The place is very cute, with great attention to detail and a nice, cozy bar/restaurant area that made our stay enjoyable. The staff was very kind, helpful, and always available, which we truly appreciated. The breakfast was really delicious and complete as well. Overall, a lovely stay, but a few small improvements in the room would make it fantastic!"
