"It was wonderful. Ximena our host was just the best. We loved the pool and the generous outside loungers and seating areas. It being March and the crazy hot season, the pool water was like bath water! The location was fantastic. Everything was beautifully clean. It was lovely to have our own kitchen, which was generously stocked up before our arrival. There was nothing to fault. We loved our stay here."

I was a bit concerned about previous reviews about lack of heating and hot water but the place was warm and we didn’t need the heaters provided, shower water was hot which we needed for the long treks in the surrounding mountains. Bahnhof war wegen Bauarbeiten gesperrt. Keine Hinweise zum Weg zur Ersatzbushaltestelle Fehlende Information über Weg nach Intragna, ob zu Fuß möglich oder nur mit dem Auto

"My room had everything one could desire for self-reliance. Nice folks who bent over backwards to accommodate my every wish. I couldn't have been more pleased. From the outside, the place looked simple, but the room itself was actually nicer and better equipped than the Sheraton in Brussels or the King Fajd Palace in Dakar which I had stayed in en route."

The street was a block in from the main road which was quiet and nice in the daytime but too dark to walk at night alone as a single lady.

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten und der schöne Garten, in dem man gemütlich frühstücken konnte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab auch die Möglichkeit dass für uns traditionelles Essen gekocht wird, was sehr lecker war, und unsere Wäsche gewaschen wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich und freuen uns, nochmal wieder zu kommen :)"

The open bathrooms

Really really small windows in bedrooms, that should be equipped with additional ventilation (I am a person who sleeps with the window open all year round)))

"Everything about the space was great, the location is very quiet and next to the ocean. The private dock was an absolute treat. The house was clean and well thought out. Lots of detail was put into the property and we really enjoyed it."

The ants were a problem, but that just happens in Bermuda anyway. We sprayed some bug spray and they died down. The wind was sometimes a problem and some of the outside furniture was not secured. But im assuming this got fixed fairly quickly.

Il serait bien qu'un minimum pour le premier petit déjeuner soit proposé ce serait top et peut être un peu plus de vaisselle comme on peut y être entre 4 et 6 personnes c'est un peu léger.

"This was a great house with all the facilities we needed for a 5 night stay. We were a group of 9 which is probably the maximum this house can take, the sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable but was fine for our shorter trip. Everything worked really well and the hotel this villa is connected to had great facilities like a sauna and hottib which were free to use. The host was great, the location for this villa is slightly incorrect on this site as it was a bit further out than we expected but the host was helpful in getting us transport everymoring to the ski centers."

"Great location, loved the customer service and the price is very competitive. The beds were comfortable and loved the fact that we could watch the African Cup of Nations on TV. The place is very clean. Really loved that."

While not the fault of the house, the Unexpected Electricity outages were inconvenient. Long terms measures could include a back up generator or battery storage. Would also be good to have toilet papers in the toilets, not everyone is a big fan of using water. I had to purchase my own toilet papers. Hot water didn't seem to work.

"Location is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The property has a small but private garden with sun loungers, etc to use when the sun shines. We had a detached lodge with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, open living, dining and kitchen area downstairs plus downstairs toilet - so the accommodation met our needs nicely. When it got cold the landlord came by and asked if we needed the heating putting on and showed us how to do this, which was thoughtful."

The landlord gave a lot of very exacting instructions on the use of the facilities in the property, which made us a bit nervous about using things incorrectly or potentially breaking anything!

"Gorgeous view!! Loved having the private pool and outside space to relax. Friendly staff at check in and check out. Would definitely come back here if I’m staying on Curacao again! Loved the coffee machine with milk foamer, ideal for ice coffee’s :)"

- Confusing check in. Drove all the way down to then have to drive all the way back up again? - Got told on check in that they have a fair use electric policy. I asked for further info about how much usage that meant and how much I would have to pay extra but the staff could not clarify, only that we should use aircon max of 12 hrs a day. We are sensible with electric, but still made me wonder if we had to pay at end of stay. (We didn’t have to luckily) - Could not turn off outside lights and it bothered me as the room wasn’t very dark because of that. (Also thought they were concerned about electric usage??) I asked the question but never got a reply from them… I would recommend improving these points, but we still had an amazing stay!!

The accommodation is quite remote and arriving at night (my own "fault"), the drive up into hills from nearest "main" road is a long way through forest. A bit tricky, but worth the trip! Important to have good guidance in advance!

A car is needed as there are few facilities close by.

"Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Jag har inte något som jag inte tyckte om. Möjligen att du måste ha tillgång till egen transport om du enkelt ska ta dig till och från boendet.

"Nos hicieron un upgrade a Villa Marina, un apartamento situado en la colina que domina Red Hook. Las vistas son soberbias; buen equipamiento, piscina “cuasi-privada”. Buena atención del dueño en el paso de la tormenta tropical Ernesto y posteriores consecuencias (leves). Recomendable"

La contrapartida a las buenas vistas es subir arriba. Es necesario coche (lo teníamos). El único “pero” era la extraña dependencia de generadores eléctricos para tener agua corriente dentro de casa. Tras la tormenta hubo que usar generador y andar cambiando bombonas de gas (pero el duelo, Steve, se encargó de ello)

Would've been helpful to know about the hot tub maintenance guy popping in - they accidentally scared one of my friends.

"I loved having the kitchen on the balcony, as well as having the whole hut for myself, it was the perfect size !"

I sometimes had trouble sleeping because of the noise outside - but there is not much one could do about that!

The cabin walls were quite thin, so throughout the stay we could hear clearly what the neighbours were saying, doing and when they were using their bathroom and shower

"A well equipped house in a very good location to explore Spa and surrounding areas. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions for dog friendly swimming in the area."

The road outside the house can be a little noisy but not too bad at night.

"We had a very spacious appartment. The location is amazing you can walk everywhere and start cross country skiing right at the appartment. For us it was a very nice stay and we would come again!"

Overall the appartment came into the years a little bit. Some lights were not working so well for example, the sauna was hard to get very hot and the fan in the bathroom did not work. We did not mind very much but maybe there should be some maintenance works done in the nearer future.

"Owners responded promptly. Complimentary breakfast added a delightful touch. Beds were comfortable. The beach was just a 2-3 minute walk away, and parking was conveniently located right in front of the unit. The staff were exceptionally helpful."

The shower had a heater problem, there was no shampoo or soap in the lower washrooms, and the TV didn't work. However, none of these issues affected our stay.
