"The personal attention of the wonderful owner stood out for us. He went out of his way to collect us from the ferry and take us to the airport the next day. He provided us with a fabulous breakfast too - the best we’ve had over our whole trip. We loved meeting him and talking to him."

No communal areas. The kitchen was tiny and no where sit and eat. There is a small space in the top floor to make a cup of tea but not suitable to eat and not near the kitchen. The shared bathroom shower is too complicated, the water sprays out of all the taps and was cold

The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition, and having a private beach just 400 meters away was a dream! We spent a beautiful day and night enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching a stunning sunset by the sea. The two kitchens, one large and one smaller, made meal preparations easy and seamless for our group. The host was incredibly responsive, ensuring our check-in was smooth and that we had everything we needed. The thoughtful amenities provided made our weekend stay feel effortless and relaxing. "Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

"This is the best place where you can stay! It's clean and comfortable and maybe not in the very center town but you meet a very nice , friendly and lovely family. In Italy we say "you find a friend, you find a treasure", this is what you're going to live."

"The location was a bit far from the city center, but apart from that everything was perfect. The hotel is very pleasant, and the staff were immediately available whenever needed."

"Nice size single room with private bathroom and air-com. Very central both to the old part and the main train station. There was a fridge, a kettle and chai offering and water in the room. I read reviews complaining about lighting which I found sufficient and about duvet and for me was also ok despite being August because of air-con."

The only problem I found was the toilet floor getting get after shower. I have been in some guest houses like this and they offer sandals which saves the problem.

"Had an amazing stay at Akunamatata and would highly recommend it. The house was clean and spacious and only a few minutes from the Main Street of Grand Case and the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed while away. The outdoor area was relaxing and the bed very comfortable. Although we were sharing the house with other people it was a perfect place to stay. Thank you to Jamal for being so accommodating!"

1. Приліжкові тумбочки не мали додаткових шухляд, трохи не зручно, на стооику не все поміщалося і телефон і зарядка і годинники і різноманітні ключі і чашка.. 2. Рушники сушити немає де, в номері немає батареї, а свіжі рушники коштують 2 євро за один. На скільки я зрозумів що свіжі дають якщо ти там більше ніж тиждень, 3. Раковина була забита чимось після минулих мешканців, це треба чистити і перевіряти бо виглядало погано.
