"We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. Lovely cooked breakfast - preorder. There is a continental buffet. Lovely croissant and sour dough crumpets- yum! Understandably, we pre-ordered our cooked breakfast as they do not have the space for a buffet cooked breakfast. However, you can order more if you need- good way of reducing waste! Great sizeable room - we stayed in room 7 which holds 5 guests. It had a sink and mirror. The shared showers are across the landing. Showers were warm and medium pressure. Great facilities for a hostel. Clean and convenient! The location was fab! Very easy to get to a section of the South West Coast Path. We started our walk from the Cliff Top Long Stay Car Park down to Branscombe Beach. Lastly, very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff."

"It can’t be helped to have the green emergency light on in the dorm which I’m told, by my husband, that it is a standard safety feature in dorms such as these. So, I recommend an eye mask when sleeping otherwise you’ll see green in the dark. Other than that, a very peaceful rest. Dogs on leads are welcomed on public spaces but not in dorms. Luckily, our extended family were staying close by in static holiday caravans and they had our fur baby for the night."

"I noticed one of the showers needed replacement of mouldy white silicone rubber. Below the drinking water area was wet on the beautiful hardwood parkay floor was soaking with splashed water. This will eventually cause thousands of pounds of damage in wet and possibly dry rot. It was sad to see. Although it didn't detract or make the stay unpleasant. It was a serious problem if they don't deal with it. There was a water leak from the ceiling in toilet bathroom area. The property needs some tender loving care or it will cost them an absolute fortune if left unattended. These didn't detract from the generally nice stay."

"This hostel was so much better than I was hoping. I stayed there as a last minute booking for one night, with my 3 children (age 5,9,10). The welcome from staff was super friendly and accommodating, the accommodation was beautifully clean and comfortable, the cooked breakfast was fab and great value for money. I really couldn’t recommend this hostel highly enough. I’ll be staying again."
