"Loved the quiet, the green setting, the spaciousness. Dinner on location is an excellent idea, because there isn't much else in town and we didn't feel like driving any more. There is even a path to take you down to a "beach" on the Loire."
"A bike locker would have been nice; but we were welcome to park the bikes in the hall of the chalet - problem solved!"

"We had a lovely stay at Petit Monlot! Very easy access to St Emilion, but far enough out of the town to experience the vineyards at close hand and to really experience the peace. The building is beautiful, with access to outside seating in the garden and on the terrace, and access to the wonderfully equipped kitchen and lounge. Christine and Christoph are wonderful hosts, who really made us so welcome. They gave us tips on great places to visit in St Emilion, and arranged a tour for us at Chateau Monlot which was fascinating. Breakfast is taken communally, and as well as being delicious is so convivial and social. We sat down to breakfast at 9am, and left the table at 11.30 after a wonderful and engaging conversation with our hosts and delightful fellow guests!"

"The campsite is located a few kilometers from Pierrefond Castle and is very peacefully situated in an open field in the woods around Pierrefond, with plenty of space around our tent. Those seeking luxury and WIFI are better off booking elsewhere. Those seeking peace and quiet will find what they're looking for here. There are various board (and other) games in the common area. I like this place a lot!"
