"The neighborhood didn't look inviting for leisurely walking. Pretty loud at night, e.g., people partying in the neighborhood, barking dogs, probably poor soundproofing. We managed to park in front of the property, but there is no designated parking, so if you're not that lucky, you'll have to park elsewhere (see above about the neighborhood)."
"The hotel is convenient for people with their own transport going to the airport. They can arrange taxis during the day, but not late-night taxis. It was clean, and staff were friendly and very patient with our broken Spanish. Everything within the walled enclave was great."
"The immediate surroundings are a bit grim--trash-strewn empty lots, barbed wire, concrete walls, etc. There was lots of loud music until late at night. Boca Chica has seen better days; there are better beaches in the D.R., but this is OK if you need a place to stay before an early morning flight."
