"The perfect location in Tortuguero. We had originally booked a lodge out of the centre but decided to stay more central as they are a long way out, only accessible by taxi boat. This place is located in the middle of the little street that is Tortugero, surrounded by lovely bars and sodas. Within walking distance to all the tour meeting points. The apartment was spacious, very clean and had a nice outdoor seating area. Budda cafe located over the street is also a must visit with great decor, an even better view of the river and extremely friendly staff."

"Great location – central yet quiet. The bed is definitely a plus - very comfortable, the shower had good hot water, and the internet connection was fast and reliable. The contact with the host (Daniel) was good before and during our stay."
"There is some room for improvement: the kitchen equipment could benefit from an overhaul , e.g. large coffee mugs or a third plate to prepare fruits/vegetables would have been nice, the kitchen tap splashes in all directions, and our room had a musty/moldy smell."
"We loved our stay at Buddha home and could have stayed longer. The whole journey to Tortuguero is very well organised. Daniel met us at the dock and walked us to our property and helped us settle in. He also helped us book 2 tours, which we thoroughly enjoyed."

"Good place to stay was very clean and comfortabel. The place is very good you can go everywhere and its close to the main harbor. Cafe is right across with good food and drinks. Very friendly staff. And everything was managed well."

"We stayed here during our honeymoon, and they made it feel so special for us! The hosts were very friendly and warm, and made us feel immediately at home. We stayed in the Santiago room, which was beautifully clean and air conditioned, and really dark and quiet at night. Lots of wildlife is nearby, we saw a monkey and an iguana from the balcony."

"We stayed in two of Budda home’s appartments and really enjoyed being amidst the hustle and bustle of Tortuguero’s main street. The welcome was friendly and the staff very helpful. The restaurant was super with great views on the river! They also recommended Alexis as a guide who was super."
