"There was nothing to really "like" - nothing standing out - IMHO room facilities, decoration, bathroom and bedding where merely acceptable."

The owner's agony on low power consumption is obvious. 1) the fuse controling TV & AirConditioner was off - had to do a bit of troubleshooting in order to get the TV operational 2) lighting in the room extremely low 3) stove required ~45 minutes to prepare one cup of coffee. The road to get to the property is suitable for one way traffic. If you crossed with another vehicle one of the two would have to reverse. Pet friendliness was limited to the owner's pets and was not extended to the guests' pets. The owner resented the fact that I traveled with my pet noticing that I should have informed up-front.

"Todo! Entorno natural, spa, gimnasio muy completo y realmente destacable, habitaciones, comida fresca y bien hecha, habitaciones y demás instalaciones, espacios comunes, actividades, todo!!!!! Es un lugar al que puedes volver tantas veces quieras y nunca te aburres!"

Lo único a destacar sería que agreguen huevos y opciones más proteicas al desayuno y que mejoren las bicicletas porque los caminos no son sencillos para pasear en ellas, les falta mantenimiento a esas bicicletas también.

There are some minor damages which could get repaired but thats just to improve the oberall look of the place. Beside that everything was perfect and it was a very pleasant stay

"The place feels like home and is just on the edge of the national park. The owner made sure I had everything I needed, even though he wasn't there for the majority of my stay. Suds and Didi that help at the guest house were so amazing. Very caring and friendly and made sure I was entertained during my stay. Didi's cooking is the best I had during my travels in Nepal. This place might not be for people that like comfortable hotels, but I loved staying in a mud house and being this close to nature. I highly recommend it."

"Вчора повернулися з подорожі Карпатами, зокрема відвідали термальні басейни в Косино (святкували ювілей чоловіка) Готель має гарне розташування локаційно, приємні господарі і затишне подвірʼя ( мангал, бесіди, дитячий майданчик, парковка) В готелі чистенько, приємно здивувала кухня та все необхідне від посуду до техніки. В номері є все для відпочинку. Дякуємо Марʼяні і колективу. РЕКОМЕНДУЮ!!!"

"Our stay at Steigenberger was very pleasant, the same day we started with a spa treatment - the Pharaoh bath, we got a special deal two for one. We had 3 massage therapists who took care of us💆‍♀️Higly recommending it! But let's get back to the beginning, we got welcomed by Ahmed, who gave us a beautiful room with a balcony facing the Nile. For many a dream come true.. You will be welcomed wih a refreshing cold hibiscus tea. The breakfast buffet there has a huge selection and in the evening you can also have a dinner buffet with a view to the Nile if you sit outside. There are two pools, gym, some stores with souvenirs around the hotel and even a swing to take a beautiful sunset picture with a view to the Nile. Thank you Ahmed for your assistance, we felt very welcome thanks to you. 💯☺️"

The surrounding area is poor, but don't be scared, the locals are welcoming and kind. Sometimes you have to be patient so order your breakfast early if you have an adventure day planned.

"This is not a standard hotel or gite or whatever, this is a special place. Expect no luxury here, this is not what Karims guesthouse is about. It is about being in a small village and in nature. Basically, this is as close to a home stay as you can book on Booking. You can choose a room or the stilted house (recommended) in a garden full of interesting plants. Your water comes from a well or the river, your coffee directly from the bushes around you, and the food from...actually I don't know where, but it is amazing. One of the Kpime waterfalls is just a short, but nice walk away, and you can roam the village or take a long walk to Yikpa waterfall (~4 h one way). And when you come back, you lay in a hammock with a fresh and local cocoa or sit in the garden. And the best, you don't need to be in Kpalime, with all the chaos, noise, and smells. Although it is something different, I really enjoyed my stay. Karim is a fantastic host and La montagne verde exactly my type of stay."

Just be aware what you are booking, and there is nothing negative about it.

"Все чудово. Трансфер, прибирання кожні 5 днів, як в 5 зірковому готелі, тільки ще міні кухня на балконі (раковина, необхідний посуд і газова горілка). До моря хвилин 7 пішки. Чудовий піщаний пляж - рай для дітей мілко і тепло. Якщо приїдемо в Албанію, то зупинимося знов на цій віллі. Щиро дякую господарям"

When making the booking for 2 or 3 bedroom, booking.com must state that the other room in the mansion are also simulataneously for rent with strangers. This can be an unexpected suprise for those who wants to spend family time specially since the kitchen and living room are to be shared.
