The Hotel Krafft Basel and restaurant can be found in the heart of the city, right on the bank of the Rhine river with its Mediterranean-style promenade. The view of the historical scenery on the other side of the river is breathtaking - be it from the restaurant or the terrace overlooking the lively river promenade. You will get the mobility ticket for free use of all public transport in town during your stay. The Krafft is a classical building with a famous past. For example Hermann Hesse used to stay here writing most of its well-known novel “Der Steppenwolf”. "Maybe a coffee machine in the room would make the whole experience perfect. But the availability on the floor is covering for this. The floors are a bit creaky, but they give a certain charm to the rooms. Once just has to take the shoes off in the room!"
