This family-run 3-star hotel is located in the historic centre of Melk in the Wachau World Heritage Site, at the foot of the Baroque abbey. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. The Wachauerhof's restaurant serves regional and Austrian specialties and refined wines from the Wachau. All rooms were renovated in 2013 and feature cable TV, large windows, and a private bathroom. Located directly on the Danube Bicycle Trail, the Wachauerhof provides a shelter for bicycles. All attractions in the region can be reached quickly and easily. The ship landing (Danube navigation between Melk and Krems) is only 500 metres away from the Wachauerhof. The train station and the A1 motorway are in the immediate vicinity.

"The hotel located relatively close to Vienna airport, if you move west it's good place to stop overnight. Melk abbey worth visit even in winter, it's a gem that must be not missed. The breakfast was very rich, excellent choice of cheese and veggies, hot eggs and ham, yogurts, muesli and much more. Overall our staying was very comfortable."
